Prime Minister of Mongolia Receives Minister of Digital Affairs and Transport of Germany

Ulaanbaatar, 2024 March 7 /MONTSAME/ Prime Minister of Mongolia Oyunerdene Luvsannamsrai received Minister of Digital Affairs and Transport of Germany Volker Wissing and accompanying delegates yesterday.

 

During the meeting, Prime Minister Oyunerdene noted that the relationship between the two countries reached the Strategic Partnership level during the State Visit of the Federal President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Mongolia and expressed his gratitude to the delegation led by the Federal Minister for Digital and Transport of Germany which comprised of representatives of the private sector and professional associations for the working visit to Mongolia to realize the agreements.

 

Also, the Prime Minister of Mongolia mentioned that the Governments had concluded an Auto transport agreement which would affect the development of trade, transport logistics, and economic relations, and would have a great impact in intensifying the collaboration in the auto transport sector. 


As a landlocked country with vast land, the Prime Minister pointed out that the Government of Mongolia pays great attention to developing the auto, air transport, and railway infrastructure, and based on its geographical location feature of connecting Asia and Europe, Mongolia has an opportunity to play a crucial role in the regional, and international infrastructure network. Parties exchanged opinions on various topics including increasing the frequency of flights between the two countries, reducing traffic congestion, and training Mongolian youths in Germany in the fields of auto road construction, transport logistics, and digitalization.  

 

The Federal Minister of Germany expressed his appreciation for Mongolia having achievements in using the latest Information technology and digitalizing government services and stated its commitment to contributing to enriching the two countries’ relationship with economic content and supporting private-sector cooperation.
