Ulaanbaatar, May 6, 2024 /MONTSAME/. Summary of events for the week of May 6-12, 2024.


In Ulaanbaatar:

May 6: There will be a meeting of parties and groups of the State Great Khural.

May 6: The first Conference of Morin Khuur (a traditional Mongolian instrument Horse-Head Fiddle) players, researchers, inheritors, and crafters will be held.



May 6, 7: Standing Committee sessions of the State Great Khural will be held at the State Palace.

May 9: To enhance the tourism industry's preparedness for the upcoming seasona four-day training program will be offered. Led by expert teachers from Sejong University, South Korea, the program will focus on hospitality services.

May 7: There will be a National Conference of Morin Khuur Players.

May 7-19: "UlaanbaatarInternational Media Art Festival will be organized for the 9th year under the theme "Seeing is Believing".

May 8: The regular meeting of the Cabinet will be held at the State Palace.

May 9, 10: A Plenary Session of the State Great Khural of Mongolia will be held at the State Palace.

May 10: The Morin Khuur Ensemble, Recipient of the Supreme Decoration of the Mongolian State, the Order of Chinggis Khaan, and Cultural Envoy of Mongolia, will present a concert titled "Mongol Musicon the stage of the Mongolian State Philharmonic.



May 10-20: XAOS International Festival of Experimental Music and Visual Arts will be organized.


Special Exhibition of “Mary Magdalene in Ecstasy” is being displayed at the Chinggis Khaan National Museum of Mongolia.


"ARTWEEK-2024", the largest festival of fine arts jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture of Mongolia and the Union of Mongolian Artists, is taking place.


Local Events: 

May 6: In cooperation with Buryatia, Russia, Selenge aimag will be selling fruit tree seedlings, fertilizers, tools, and equipment imported from Buryatia at a sales event in the central square of Sukhbaatar soum of the aimag.

May 9: Dundgobi aimag will host two competitions: the National E-Writing Contest of Traditional Mongol Script for Public Servants and the "Essay WritingContest for 7-12 graders.

May 9-10: The “Let's Make Our Dundgobi Aimag Green” Trade Fair will be held, featuring a variety of products, including tree saplings, seedlings, tools and equipment, vegetables, flower seeds, and flower seedlings, in Dundgobi aimag.

May 11: Uvs aimag will host the Central Region Horse Race in Ulaangom soum.

May 11: Public Tree Planting will be organized in Dundgobi aimag.
